JD Jones

JD Jones passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. JD was born on September 16, 1933 in Uvalde, Texas, the only child to the late Elton D. and Mary E. Jones. JD graduated from Harlendale High School in the 1950's where he served as the drum major for the high school band. JD, a paving contractor, owned, JD Jones Construction Company and worked in the San Antonio, Universal City, Schertz areas starting in the 1960's until he retired in the early 2000's. JD paved many streets in Garden Ridge, Universal City, Schertz and San Antonio for private citizens, businesses, as well as the local cities.

JD is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Faye E. Jones; daughter Lisa Jones Donohue; granddaughter Kristi Pape Garcia; step-daughters Tracy Weikert Garcia (Charlie); and Kelly Weikert; grandchildren Virginia Quintero (Matt); Ryan Garcia, Mercedes Garcia, Hailey Buehl, and Michael Garcia (Kaetlyn), and 8 great-grand children.

JD was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Linda Jones Hendrixson.

At the request of JD there was no formal visitation or funeral.
