Jeannine McGregor, age 89 of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed away on September 6, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 4pm at The First Baptist Church of Universal City, Texas as well as on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11am at The First Baptist Church of McAlester, Oklahoma.
Jeannine was born in McAlester, Oklahoma to Leo Doyle and Ruby Gann Doyle. Jeannine worked for over 60 years as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed the challenges of nursing as well as the comradery of her fellow nurses. Jeannine loved to sew and knit, and would happily spend an entire day at the yarn shop. She enjoyed making beautiful dresses for her granddaughters and taught all her grandkids how to thread a needle, cook and other life skills. Jeannine was also an excellent cook and loved to share her food and recipes with family and friends. Comfort food was her specialty and her homemade biscuits and gravy were a family favorite.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ernest McGregor, her parents, her brother Leo Donald Doyle, her sons David Drew and Terry Drew and her beloved grandson David Caleb Poss. Survivors include her daughters Beth Dixon, Sara Chapman and husband John Chapman, and Jackie Poss; grandchildren Jena Matzen and husband Jeremy Matzen, Colten Chapman, Abbie Poss; great-grandchild Maddox Matzen.
Jeannine was a faithful servant of the Lord and passed with the peace of knowing that she would finally be united with her Savior and reunited with her loved ones in heaven. She will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew her.
