

John served in the US Air Force, retiring with 34 years of service. He received his BA in Sociology with Summa Cum Laude Honors at Park College and his master’s degree in business from USC.
Teaching diving forever, John opened Duggan Diving Enterprises in 1991 which grew to a full-service dive center. (Member of NAUI, PADI, SSI INSTRUCTOR, Technical Diver Training, Scuba Diving Int., Rebreather training)
With a passion for history, travel, and scuba diving, John was able to explore the world with his family, friends, and divers. He has published a book, contributed several articles, and was in the process of authoring a second book.
John is preceded in death by his mother, father and three brothers and a great grandbaby.
He is survived by his wife, son, two daughters, nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, a brother, and a sister.

John's family thanks the Brooke Army Medical Center staff for their care, and appreciates the support from family, friends, and dive shop staff during his absence.
