Jose J. Corona

Jose J. Corona passed away on May 9, 2011 at the age of 92. He was born on August 4, 1918 in Carlotta, Texas to Sebastian and Julia Jimenez Corona. Preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Librada Corona, sons, Jesus Corona, Guadalupe Corona and Juan Corona; son-in-laws, Robert Arenas Sr. and Benito Padilla. Survived by his wife, Connie Garcia Corona; children, Maria Alvarado, her husband Francisco Sr., Sirilo Corona, his wife Irma, Brigida Arenas, Jose Corona Jr. his wife Janie, Angela Alba, Frances Blanco, her husband Willie, Isabel Corona, her husband Mario, Ray Corona, his wife Tina, Peter Corona, his wife Janet and Marsha Padilla; brother, Gregorio Corona, his wife Virginia; step-children, Laura Wavra, Carol McDonald, Linda Olaguez and Rick Espraza; daughter-in-law, Margarita Corona; 47 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren; numerous, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Step-Grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with Rosary Recited at 7:00 P.M. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Monday, May 16, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, Texas. Interment to follow at Selma Catholic Cemetery # 1.
