

Juan joined the United States Air Force at the age of 22. He received several decorations such as Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Award Ribbon with Five Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with Eight Oak Leaf Clusters. He proudly served until his retirement in 1988.
Juan graduated from Southwest Texas State University on May 14, 1994 with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree.
Juan was a natural athlete during his High School years. He was a part of the track and tennis team. During his early years in the Air Force, he played on the Air Force Golf team and won several tournaments. He had a passion for the game of golf. He continued to play until he could not play anymore. Juan was a wonderful cook. His specialty was bbq and anything on the grill. He would watch different cooking shows and take a few dishes and give them his spin.
Juan will be reunited in heaven with his parents, Consuelo and Severiano; brothers, Henry Delgado and Severiano Delgado Jr; and sister, Pauline Perez.
Juan's memory will always live in his loving wife, Eva Irma Narro Delgado; children, Cynthia (Robert) Gloria, and Gilbert Delgado; grandchildren, Jonathan Delgado (Lee Ann Pereira), Megan Delgado, Julian Delgado, Matthew (Kimberly) Nowinsky, Nina Gloria, Cynthia (Michael) Vecera, and Valerie Gloria; great-grandchildren, Lily Pereira, Layton Delgado, Dax Nowinsky, Adam Nowinsky, Luke Nowinsky, Emma Treviño, and Rey Treviño. Siblings, Minerva Sanchez, Viola (Rodolfo) Ramos, Consuelo (Reynaldo) Ortega and Robert (Diana) Delgado, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
