Juan S. Duran, age 89 of Cibolo formerly of Eagle Pass, Texas passed away December 17, 2011. He was born February 5, 1922 in Hondo, Texas to Juan and Isabel (Salinas) Duran. Mr. Duran served with distinction in the U.S. Army Air Corp, 339th Fighter Squadron during World War II and completed his military career as a M/Sgt. After his military service he made his career with the United States Postal Service. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leonor L. Duran; brothers, Marcos, Marcelino, Luis, and Jesus. Survivors include his children, Jimmy Duran, Yolanda Finnegan and husband Dan, Richard Duran and wife Lupe, Yvonne Norman and husband Fritz, and Debbie Jennifer Duran; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; brother, David Duran and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. and funeral services will be Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
