Judith Marie Kirkland Isenberg was born in Oakhurst, TX on September 5, 1938 to Mary Elizabeth Acker and Wilburn Kirkland. Judy married Joe Isenberg Sr in June 1956 in Huntsville, TX. They moved to Humble, TX and had four children Joe, Marcus, Terry and Diana.
Judy took pride in raising her children and keeping an immaculate home for her family. Judy and Joe Sr contributed to building a funeral home in Honolulu, HI, The Humble Funeral Home, and The Kerrville Funeral Home. The Isenberg family moved to Kerrville where they lived for many years.
Judy relocated back to Houston and later San Antonio, TX where she dedicated over 25 years to Dignity Memorial. Judy was a hard worker and her greatest joys in life were her family, friends, and pups. When Judy wasn’t working she could be found spending most of her free time with her 11 grandchildren (Candice, Marc, Trey, Kyle, Brittani, Kortnie, Hailea, Bethani, Brandon, and Blake) and her numerous great-grandchildren. Those closest to her called her “Nanee”. Judy loved the saying “Go forth and multiply”!
Judy lived a long, full life. She was always blessed by family and friends, near and far. She was loved and respected by many. Judy was always grateful to have raised four wonderful children that she was very proud of.
Judy was known for her sweet, caring, loving, and generous demeanor. She was a dedicated mother and Nanee and will undoubtedly be missed by her family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
