

He was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico on November 9, 1938 to Justo Herrera, Sr. and Julia Delgado Cintron Herrera. He was married to Anita (Lugo) Herrera for 55 years.
Justo had a 28-yr career in the US Air Force, with assignments including Andrews AFB, Washington, DC, Vietnam, Torrejon AB, Spain, KI Sawyer AFB, MI, Albrook AFB, Panama, and Laughlin AFB, TX. He served 15 additional years in the US Civil Service at Laughlin AFB, TX
He had a passion for listening and dancing to Hispanic music, playing dominoes, watching western shows and movies, playing golf, playing softball (in his younger days), and watching golf, boxing and baseball on TV.
He was preceded in death by His wife, Anita as well as three of his four siblings, Lydia, Ramon, and Milagros.
He is survived by his youngest brother, Carmelo; his children, Justo "Pete" and his wife Cindy, Orlando and his wife Lesley, Hector and his wife Aubry, Marisol Herrera Garcia and her husband Albert, Jose "Che"; grandchildren, Jay, Tomas and his wife Mae, Alex, Ian and his wife Paige, Zachary and his wife Cassie, Nicholas, Bailey and her husband Gabriel, Cooper, Tyler and his wife Ashley, Jacob and his wife Laurin, Dylan, Rebekah, Anthony and his wife Brianna, Iris; great grandchildren, Ayden, Logan, Westley, Ziggy Blue, Leah Mae, Mason, Piper and Ethan.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 8:30 AM Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Rd., Universal City, Texas 78148. A Committal Service with Military Honors will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter #4, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78209
He will be missed by all of his family and friends, whom he loved dearly. He goes now, to join his beloved wife, Anita, who awaits him in heaven.
