never met karen. But have known her father don at least over 30 yrs. I worked with him in security back in md. Don sorry for the loss of ur daughter. I know u r in pain. But rest assured she's in god's hands now. May she rest in peace. Remember I forgot to mention the class u taught I was in. Anywho u know if u need to talk u know u can call me. Jane I know it pains u also. I know u will help don thru this. U and don have God.

I will miss my little blonde haired German Friend.  I always called and texted to make sure she was doing well..

Lost a beautiful woman this past week. Karen was a Mentor and Friend at the  beginning of my career and through the past 15 years. 
I will miss your laughter, strength and even your stubbornness. 
You always encouraged me to fly, and taught me servant leadership by serving those who serve our country. 
Thank you for believing in me, supporting me and most of all being a dear friend. 


Karen was a colleague who mentored and nurtured people she worked with, but most of all, she was my friend. We shared many a meal together over the years. Most recently at Momma Stella’s in Clinton. We could talk for hours over a couple glasses of wine and solve the worlds problems. One night we met for dinner and when we went in, snow flurries were starting to fall. After a while Karen looked out to see that everything was covered in snow and ice. The streets were a mess. Karen had just bought her new car and was worried about driving home in those conditions. I found out that she didn’t get home till nearly one in the morning because the roads were so bad.  She made it with no scrapes on her car but slept in the next morning.  One of the few times I knew her to be late for work. 
The picture was taken in San Antonio at an Alamo museum. Her heart (and children and grandchildren) was always in Texas. She and I always had fun with Texas foods for the Andrews crew. They didn’t always appreciate our tastes. LOL

Graveside Service

She is preceded in death by her mother. Survivors include two sons, Joel Redman and Christian Redman and wife Amanda, with their daughter Elizabeth; Father, Donald Lane and two brothers, Richard and Patrick.
