Kenneth C. Carpenter of Converse passed away on October 14, 2010 at the age of 71. Kenneth was born on February 4, 1939 to Elam and Viola Carpenter. He was a member of the VFW Post 4676 in Universal City and the American Legion Post 593 in Converse. He is preceded in death by his son David Carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Carpenter; sons, Eric and Christopher Carpenter; daughter, Caren; sister, Billie Rose (David Gough) Gruenewald; step-son, Donald Campbell (Sabrina); step-daughter, Melissa Reyna (Patrick); 7 step-grandchildren; and numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday October 22, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Colonial Funeral Home with interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
