

As Kenneth grew up, he enjoyed playing sports especially softball and basketball. His friends affectionately nicknamed him “Hondo’ after Celtics player, John Havlicek.
Kenneth “Hondo” enlisted in the Air Force in 1970. He served 21 years before retiring in 1991 as a Master Sergeant. On September 23rd, 1990 Kenneth married his loving wife Isabelita Hauptmann. As a couple they enjoyed activities like bowling and gambling.
“Hondo” is preceded in death by his parents Loretta and Oscar Hauptmann. He is remembered by his wife, Isabelita Hauptmann; his sister, Loretta Schneider; his loving children, Arlita McClintock (David), Kenneth Hauptmann Jr. (Mary), Alan Taylor (Ariana), Armon Taylor (Alanna), Scott Hauptmann (Jayna), Heidi Stone (Rob), his 14 grandchildren and great granddaughter.

A Visitation will be held on July 7th, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. The Rosary will be held during the Visitation on July 7th, from 6:00 to 7:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at Senyor Santo Niño de Cebu Catholic Church, 5455. A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on July 8th, 2026, from 1:45pm to 2:05 pm, at Fort Sam Houston National cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
