

Loren was born on October 12, 1934 to Carl & Clarice Christensen (Larsen) of Long Prairie, MN. Loren graduated from Hewitt High School & would go on to serve in the United States Navy as a Seabee from 1951 to 1954. He had numerous careers throughout his life including Sears Executive, Car Salesman, & Entrepreneur. Loren was a man of many passions, from fishing & hunting, to cars & traveling. He was also an avid student of history. Loren was a faithful parishioner of Palm Valley Lutheran Church & a member of The American Legion for many years.
Above all, Loren was a family man. A loving husband, father, grandfather, & great grandfather. He was man of numerous friends & fond memories. Loren leaves behind a legacy that will be treasured and kept alive in the hearts of all who knew him. His light will continue to shine in our hearts forever. Loren will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the friends and relatives who have given them comfort and support in this time of need.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Clarice Christensen, sister, Betty Christensen, son, Gary Christensen, daughter in law, Lynette Christensen, grandson, Matthew Larivee. & great grandson, Tristen Gage.
Loren leaves behind to honor his legacy, his wife of 72 years, Marlene Dorothy Christensen, son, Tom (Evelyn) Christensen, daughters, Linda (Randy) Rush & Julie Larivee, grandchildren, Josh (Leah) Griffin, Brittney (Michael) Babb, Austin (Nadine) Griffin, Karli (Greg) Johnson, Karl (Heather) Christensen, Cory (Glynnis) Christensen, Meleah Christensen, Michael (Briana) Larivee, & Mary Larivee, great grandchildren, Aiden Griffin, Easten Griffin, Trey Babb, Ciera Babb, Weston Babb, Justin Kress, Lillian Griffin, Mia Griffin, Griffin Johnson, Madden Christensen, Hezekiah Christensen, Emilagrace Christensen, Jaden Gage, Londynn Byrd, Cassiel Garner, Michael Larivee, Hazel Larivee, Kaylah Larivee-Gums, & Kasen Larivee-Gums.
A celebration of life for Loren will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148.
