Lougene was born to Mary Louise and Donnie Raymond Nelson Sr. in Mobile, Alabama on July 1, 1962. He graduated from Alba High School and was a member of Rock of Faith Baptist Church. Lougene's light will continue to shine in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
He is preceded in death by; his mother, Mary Louise Dixon-Nelson, father, Donnie Raymond Nelson Sr. and brothers Donnie Raymond Nelson Jr. and David Nelson, Sr.
He leaves behind to honor his legacy; sons, Jordan Lougene Nelson of Converse, Texas, Chase Cesario (Kayla) of Phoenix, Arizona, daughter, Lauren Cesario of Phoenix, Arizona, sisters, Elizabeth Nelson Jackson (Artis) of San Antonio, Texas and Donna Scroggins (Larry) of Hampton, Virginia, brother, Fraizer Porter, of Houston, Texas, grandchildren, Saint Lougene Nelson, and Dan Cesario, fiancé, Jackie Washington of Riverside, California, a devoted niece and nephew Anthony (Denise) Lewis of Converse, Texas, best friend, Kelli Cesario of San Antonio, Texas, Godson, Greg Randolph of San Antonio,
Texas, sister-in-law, Toya Nelson of Riverside, California and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
A funeral service for Lougene will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Rock-Faith Missionary Baptist, 107 School St, Converse, TX 78109.
Serving as pallbearers are Shorone Lewis Sr., Shorone Lewis Jr., Travis Nelson, Trey Nelson, Chaz Nelson, David Nelson Jr., Brian Scroggins, Jeremy Scroggins, Artis Jackson III and Greg Randolph.
