Marcelina (Marcie) Tullao Kingsolver, age 78, of Schertz, Texas passed away on Wednesday June 24, 2020.

Marcelina was born June 30, 1941, in Bacolor Pampanga Philippines. She was the daughter of Apolinario and Aurelia Torres Tullao. She was the oldest of 13 children and considered by many of her siblings and extended family as the matriarch of the family. She is survived by her children, Annette, Doug, and JoAnne; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Marcelina was known as many things to many people, she was a loved one, a friend, and someone special, adored by all who had the pleasure of knowing and meeting her. Lovingly called “Marcie”, “Mom”, “Grandma”, “G-Ma”, “GiGi”, “Auntie”, “Lola”, she was a truly compassionate spirit whose passions were her family, gardening, cooking, and fishing; all of which flourished with the love she poured into all that she did. Everyone whose lives she touched will always remember Marcie.

A memorial service for Marcie will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 6:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, Texas.

May & I have been friends for 36 yrs & I always enjoyed meeting her family. I immediately liked Marcy when I first met her. She loved her family fiercely & she seemed to love life. Her smile was contagious & lit up her whole face. Praying for all of you during this difficult goodbye. RIP Marcy!

The oldest and the youngest. Two peas in a pod. We both love fishing, gardening, and cooking. These gives us enjoyment, serenity, and keeps our temper in check. Yes, we constantly have to have our temper in check. It’s a losing battle at times but, we try. We don’t say much and some thinks we’re unsociable. We guard our emotions for the most part but, we see, hear, and understand. We love very deeply. I may not have spent a lot of time with my sister Marcy but, we know and we understood. Sisters bond. We love each other very much. Thank you for being my sister. RIP

Marcy and I both loved talking about basketball. Her grandson, Jordon, made her very proud and brought her great joy.
