Maria M. Deen passed away on March 31, 2012 at the age of 76. She was born on July 20, 1935 in Mercedes, Texas to Jose and Maria Rodriguez Cantu. Maria is preceded in death by her parents; survived by her daughter, Ana Johanson, her husband Curtis; son, Kevin Deen; grandchildren Sara and Gunnar; sisters, Anita Cantu and Lilly Garcia. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M.
