Maria (Mary) Garcia went to be with the Lord on November 23rd, 2022 at the age of 95. She was born on May 8th, 1927 in New Berlin, Texas. Mary worked as a civil service employee for 33 1/2 years at Randolph Air Force Base and Fort Sam Houston. After retirement, she worked part time at Contreras Flower Shop and as an election poll worker for Guadalupe County. Mary is preceded in death by her parents Nicolas and Daria Garcia, Sr., brothers Justo, Sabino, Serafin, and Nicolas Garcia, Jr., and sisters Herculana Arizpe, Espiridiona Saldua, Ysidra (Sheila) G. Mijares, and Santos Lopez. Mary is survived by her sister-in-law Ramona Garcia, and 22 nieces and nephews. Mary has been a parishioner of Good Shepherd Catholic Church (Schertz, TX) since it was established in 1972. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
