OBITUARY

Marion B. Easson

March 20, 1943October 9, 2020

Marion Bennett Easson would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you cannot refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with her son P.J., her husband Peter Easson, her brother George, and parents that she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will no longer suffer any pain and will be able to walk again.

Marion died on October 9, 2020 at Northeast Methodist Hospital; she was 77 years old. She was a resident of Live Oak for many years. Marion is survived by her daughter Catherine Easson Bramble, her husband Ken, their 2 children Trey and Niki, two wonderful nieces Charlene and Rachel their children Sarah, Kevin, Jack, Meghan, and her nephew David Bennett. Marion was born March 20th, the first day of Spring in 1943 to George J. and Catherine Kerr Bennett in Quincy Massachusetts. She enjoyed Judson Football, George Strait Concerts, cheering on The Spurs and being a member of the Live Oak Parks and Recreation Board. Marion was also an integral part of Boy Scout, Pack 805 in Live Oak. She worked at Albertsons in the Meat Department until her medical retirement in 1999. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20th at Colonial Funeral Home 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal, TX from 5-9 p.m. with a Rosary being held at 7:00 p.m. On Wednesday, October 21st, a church service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Selma, Texas followed by interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

Marion was such an icon in the city of Live Oak. She was so brave, bold and had a wonderful heart. She didn’t let anything stop her from volunteering for the Parks and Recreation Commission. I had many conversations with her and I admired her strength and courage. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and always happy to share their accomplishments. I called her my friend and will be missed so much. May God wrap his arms around each of you with peace and comfort. RIP Marion you are loved so much.

Dear Cathy & family- I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know your Mom but she has a wonderful daughter and grandchildren so she must of been a pretty wonderful person. You are all in my prayers. May all your good memories live on forever in your heart.

Miss Marion brought us so much joy. Every year we went Christmas caroling & she was always ready for us. She would even sing along with us! :) Also, her address number is the same as mine, so we got each others mail often. She would just hang on to it for us until we popped in to pick it up. She will be greatly missed! Much love and many prayers to her family and friends.

Marion was a good friend! We used to go to George Strait Labor Day Concert! We never missed it! We would get there at noon and stay till midnight! We enjoyed going to the rodeo! We always had fun! I know once we went to Garth Brooks concert! We both lost a child ! I know she is with PJ and Pete and other loved ones! I know her family is devastated because she was so loved! My deepest condolences to them! She will be greatly missed! Hugs and prayers! Carolyn Marchant!
