Martin Wesley Dreher, age 75, of Universal City, Texas, beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather went to be with the Lord April 5, 2018. He was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on March 10, 1943 and spent his early life in the Missouri area prior to moving to San Antonio in 1982. Martin worked as a salesman for over 40 years. He won many awards and was salesman of year several times. He was known for his big smile and dry wit. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially doting on his grandchildren and furry companions, Sophie and Jazz. He loved family camping trips to the Texas State Parks and annual beach trips to Port Aransas over the 4th of July. He was an avid game player especially card games, Dominos and Farkle. He was a man of great faith, and joined the Catholic Church in 1998. He later joined Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Selma where he also served as an usher, was a member of the Amiga Ministry in it's first years, also a member of Knights of Columbus, Faithful Friends, and especially loved his Small Christian Community. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Wesley Dreher, his mother Betty Beatrice Burke, brother Raymond Dreher, daughter Gina Renee, and nephew Erik Dreher. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Katheran, daughter Stephanie, step-sons Shane (Patti) Chisenhall and Chad (Jennifer) Chisenhall, brothers Steve (Marva), Brian (Jeanette), sisters Diane (Jim) Gaines, Denise Shaldone, grandchildren Jacquline, Andy, Brittany, Caitlyn, Grant, Emmett and Noah; to also include Jill Keen, Audrie and Adam Abdallah; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Monday April 16, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma with burial in Selma #2 Cemetery. Arrangements through Colonial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Martin's memory be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society-Selma OLPH, American Parkinson Disease Assoc., American Diabetes Assoc., or a charity of your choice.
