

Mary Eiko Martin, 57, a Converse resident, passed away October 27, 2010 after a complication from a lengthy illness. She was born to William and Eiko Bjorman in San Luis Obispo, California on August 27, 1953. She remained in California for 35 years before moving to Oklahoma, where she remained until 2006. While living in Converse, Mary was active in her church, the Live Oak First Baptist Church, and loved teaching children, playing the piano, and painting. Mary also adored her grandchildren and spent much time playing with them and taking them places. She also loved shopping and spending time with her closest friend Suzanne Smith. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Martin, of Westville, Oklahoma. Survivors include her sons, Philip Morgan of Live Oak, TX, and Paul Morgan of Lawton, OK; her grandchildren, Jacob, Philip (PJ), and Alyna Morgan of Live Oak, TX; and siblings June MacDonald of Boerne, TX, Kristine Bjorman of Oregon, and Tom Bjorman of Vacaville, CA. and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 6:30 P.M. at Live Oak First Baptist Church, 11560 Toepperwein, Live Oak, TX 78233. Arrangements under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home, Universal City, TX.
