Mary "Mimi" E. Horning Nicely

Mary Elizabeth Nicely, born on January 16, 1922, went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 1, 2012. Known as “Mimi” to everyone, she was a longtime resident of Universal City, Texas and had recently moved to the Dallas area. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Harry Nicely; daughter, Susan Decker and husband Steve of Highland Village, TX; son, Christopher Nicely and wife Shelly of Lithia, FL; grandchildren, David Thompson and wife Nicole of Bryan, TX; Stephanie Lovas and husband CJ of Dallas, TX; Stacey Decker and fiancé Justin Tredway of Dallas, TX; Kyle Nicely and Gavin Nicely of Lithia, FL; great-granddaughter Erica Thompson of Bryan, TX; son-in-law Glenn Richard and wife Gloria of Universal City, TX; and a host of friends, both old and new. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Maw. Mimi was a Life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4676 in Universal City, TX. Visitation will be at Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City, TX on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 5-6:30pm. Graveside services will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10:00am.
