OBITUARY

Mary Ksyheliah Procell

October 13, 1949October 3, 2019

Mary Ksyheliah Procell, age 69, of Universal City, Texas passed away on Thursday October 3, 2019. Mary was born October 13, 1949 in Winnfield, Louisiana to Melvin Jiles Clark and Mary Mims Harper Clark. As a military spouse, she got to experience life in different places, and touched many lives along the way. Her work at the Randolph Library helped to broaden many young minds over the years. She was a devoted mother and was very involved as a band parent during her daughters' years in the Randolph High School marching band, attending football games and band competitions in support of all the kids.

Mary had a big personality and an even bigger heart. She was a woman of faith, a true and loyal friend, a loving, supportive, and generous mother, and an exceptionally proud grandmother. Mary is survived by her husband of 48 years, Rolan Raymond Procell Jr., her daughters Miriam Kay Glasgow and Sarah Elizabeth Procell, as well as her grandsons Gavin, Anthony, and Isaac.

A memorial service for Mary will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, Texas.

Mr. Procell, Sarah, Miriam, Gavin, Anthony, and Isaac,

I’m so very sorry and sad for your loss. I have so many happy childhood memories in your home—memories that include movies, Barbies, sleepovers, friendship, and love. Mrs. Procell was so very welcoming , making every effort to make sure everyone was taken care of and felt loved. I spent many happy hours at the library, talking with her about books and life. When she hugged you, it was never half-hearted.

Much love to all of you during this difficult time.

Mary, my fellow Louisianian, was a sweet loving friend. In these later years, we didn't visit much. But, she still was someone I always thought about affectionately. I extend my condolences to her family. Goodbye sweet Mary.

Mary was a bright shining light in many lives. Her unconditional love was available to everyone who knew her. She cared for others even when her health was failing. She was my prayer chain partner in the PWOC and we would always contact one another if someone was ill and needed prayer or one of the Chapel congregation passed away. We would send the word out to the congregation. I have not spoken with Mary in several years but she called me on 24 Sep to let me know someone had passed. I am thankful I got to hear her sweet voice one more time as she offered hugs and kisses to my wife and me. I will always remember her fondly and I'm comforted knowing she is resting with our Lord.

my dear and humorous friend, can't begin to express how sad my family and I are to lose this lady . known way back in late 80's and she was part of our lives since. Your body must have been so tired and God said, its time. . All our fun times, calls, movies, etc, will stick with me always. The way she would phone and say, "is this the lady of the house''? or, its Mary Contrary calling," I will miss the way she would always make light of a not to good mood I was in. Constant friends are very rare. She always said, I love you when hug was given. Wow, I was blessed to know her and Butch.
