Melva Lee Satchell

Born in Grainfield, Kansas on June 21, 1938, Melva Lee was a natural born caregiver, so much so that everyone in her life referred to her as "Mom." Melva Lee loved any chance to interact with people all throughout her life, whether it included being a bus driver for special learners or leading dance routines at Kramer's nightclub where her husband and sons worked. Melva Lee was also involved in her church and was well regarded for her benevolent and nurturing nature.

Melva Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace and is survived by her children, James and Tommy.

Melva Lee will be remembered for her outgoing personality and the loving disposition she bestowed upon all those she encountered.

A gathering of family and friends for Melva will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. Committal Service will follow from 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
