Myrtle Elizabeth Todd, 85 of Live Oak, Texas, beloved wife and mother passed away on March 21, 2018 in San Antonio. She was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, followed her passion to become a nurse and entered the USAF as a 1st Lieutenant. She met the love of her life, Major John Todd in Michigan and they moved to Newfoundland Canada, Louisiana, New York and Japan eventually ending up in San Antonio in 1967.
She helped lead an arthritis support group and volunteered at the Randolph AFB thrift shop. She was very active in the Chapel at RAFB including the choir, the chapel office and hospital visitation among numerous other activities. She was a second mother to most of her childrens' friends. She was preceeded in death by her husband, John B Todd, and is survived by her children, Karen E. Seleen and Wendi Todd-Roberts; and her granddaughter, Jennifer Zilly Canales.
Services will be held at Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City on April 11th : Visitation 11:30-12:30pm, Funeral Services 12:30pm and Interment at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Diabetes Association is requested.
