He was a 1963 graduate from Parkland High School in Allentown, PA and he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963-1967. Paul worked 37 years for the United States Postal Service and faithfully served the Lord as an Elder and Pastoral Assistant at Abundant Life Church. Even after retirement, Paul’s remarkable memory for his work endured—after 37 years with the post office, he could still tell you zip codes all over San Antonio.
A sports enthusiast, Paul encouraged his family to passionately support the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, San Antonio Spurs, Judson Rockets, and the Comfort Bobcats.
Paul was known for being thoughtful and kind in everyday ways. He made sure everyone he knew received a birthday card on their birthday, and he enjoyed playing Santa for many years. He was involved in the PTA at Crestview Elementary, and he loved his ministry to the shut-ins through church as well as his service with Meals on Wheels.
He leaves behind, his beloved wife of 57 years, Linda; sister, Carol Moyer of Allentown, PA; his daughters, Pam Wiley (Victor), Patricia Wilgen (Matthew) and Judy Colemere (Ken). Grandchildren, James Wiley (Erika), Jacob Wiley, Paul Wilgen, Justin Wiley (Arianna), Rebecca Wilgen, Konner Colemere, Kaden Colemere, Rachel O'Neill (Levi), and Sarah Wilgen. Great grandchildren, Vivian, Victoria and Vincent Wiley and Alexandra Wiley; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Embrace Hospice for their loving care, especially nurse Billy.
Pallbearers will be Paul’s six grandsons.
