Peggy was born on January 7, 1933, in Richmond, Surrey, England, to Robert William and Doris Gertrude Dutton. From an early age, she was known for her generosity, humor, kindness, loyalty, and thoughtful nature—qualities that remained hallmarks of her life.
Peggy dedicated much of her professional life to the medical sector, serving faithfully as an Office Manager and as a member of the Veterans Administration. Her work reflected her strong sense of responsibility and commitment to serving others.
From her early years in London to her later life in Texas, Peggy carried with her a sharp mind, a warm heart, and a tenacious spirit. She lived a long and remarkable life filled with wit, generosity, and joy. Peggy was the beloved wife of the late Conway Leeper and a devoted mother of seven children.
In her personal life, Peggy found joy in many interests, including knitting, shopping, working out, gambling, and active participation in church life, particularly with Rock Hill Gospel. Those who knew her will fondly remember her ability to bring laughter into any room, her willingness to offer advice on nearly any subject, and her gift for leaving others feeling wiser and more cheerful after a conversation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conway Leeper; her daughter, Sharon Packman; and her son, David Cole.
Peggy is survived by her daughters, Laurette, Giselle, Elaine, Dianne, and Serena, and her grandchildren, William, Lynton, Carl, Kaya, Lamar, Allen, Kaleigh, Landon, and Ethan.
