

Philip, or “Phil” as he was affectionately known, was born the 27th of June to Joe and Mary Mital Lanigo in Guam. He grew up in the village of Agat and later moved to Baza Gardens, Yona, Guam. He graduated from George Washington High School in 1980 and furthered his education through numerous classes in the IT field.
Phil has worked most recently for San Antonio Water Systems (SAWS), and was recently promoted to Purchasing Agent, I.T. Support Group, and was most excited to pursue his endeavors in this field with his team. His prior work consisted of working for Citibank, Toshiba, Dyonex, and was the main IT Support for a Veteran/Woman Owned Estate Sale Company. He was willing to help others in need and in sharing his expertise in his line of work. His remarkable career and strength of character are an inspiration for the future generations of IT Support Groups.
He was preceded in death and will be greeted by his parents, Joe and Mary Matil Laniog, his sister Vangie and two baby siblings.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years Angelica (Angie) Owen Laniog, their son Brandon Michael Owen-Laniog both of Universal City, Texas.
He is further survived by his brother Romeo Laniog (Cheyanne), sisters Juliet Mital Laniog Sablan (Marissa & Patrick) and Josephine Laniog, and Vangie’s children Melissa Ann and Jeremy.

Last Respects for Phil will be held on Tuesday, March 29. The viewing will be held at the Bluebonnet Hall from 6pm through 8pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, Texas 78148.
March 30, there will be a viewing prior to the services at 9am through 10:45am in the relief Society Room at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 13201 Forum Road, Universal City, Texas 78148 with services beginning at 11am. Funeral procession to final resting place at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Road, San Antonio, Texas 78266, where we will bid him farewell and a peaceful rest.
Immediately following his burial, a luncheon will be served at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 13201 Forum Road, Universal City, Texas 78148.
