He was a graduate of Pawhuska High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, he worked for the Texas Highway Department for 20 years. Upon retirement, Bob and his wife enjoyed traveling internationally. He loved to go fishing, work jigsaw puzzles, play black jack and watch football.
Bob was a 40-year active member of the Converse Lions Club where he served in a variety of positions including tail twister, secretary/treasurer and president. For dedicated humanitarian services he was honored as a Melvin Jones Fellow by the Lions Club International. He was a long-standing member of First Baptist Church of Universal City, Texas.
He is survived by Jeanne Fink, loving wife of 62 years; daughter, Susan Ganz and her husband, Greg; son, Robert Fink and his wife, Barbara; brother, Darrell Fink; and five grandchildren, Stephen and Michael Fink and Anton, Denis and Alanna Ganz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home at 625 Kitty Hawk Road in Universal City, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Universal City, located at 1401 Pat Booker Road. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m. located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road.
