Robert Curtis Gould

Robert was born on the 29th April 1965 to Charles Lawrence Gould and Dolores Ann Gould in Mt. Lebanon, PA. After Robert graduated from Hempfield High School in 1983, he went on to study Business Management at Westmoreland County Community College and, in 1994, Respiratory Therapy at Western School of Health and Business Careers.

After graduating with a degree in business, he started his first job at McDonald's as a restaurant manager, kickstarting a 5-year career in the fast-food business, while joining the U.S. Army Reserves to pursue a different degree. After graduating with a degree in respiratory therapy, he began his first job at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, FL, as a respiratory therapist, kickstarting a 5-year career in the civilian world before transitioning to become an active-duty Soldier in the U.S. Army in 1999, serving for over 20 years.

Robert was previously married to Connie Danko; they have 2 children, Kelly Marie Baker and Michael Curtis Gould. He also has a son, Bryce Tyler Correa, with Angela Correa. In 2009, Robert met Stephanie while he was stationed in Germany. Robert and Stephanie went on to have 1 child, Emily Grace Gould.

In 2020, Robert retired and spent his time volunteering at church, teaching 3rd graders during the school year and in the summer activities, as well as trying his hand at disc golf and spending time with his family.

Robert was predeceased by his parents and his older brother Charles. He is survived by his older sister, Susan.

A Visitation for Robert will be held Friday, May 8 from 4 pm to 7 pm, at Colonial Funeral Home on Kitty Hawk Road. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Universal City on the 11th of May 2026 at 11 am, with the burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, an organization Robert felt strongly about.
