I wanted to give you my deepest sympathy.  Bob was such a wonderful and friendly man.  Every time I would visit with him he always had a huge smile on his face and could not say enough wonderful things about you, your children and your grand children.  He was extremely proud of you all and he loved you all more than words could say.  It was a great blessing to know him for such the short time that I did.  He always put a smile on my face and gave me a big hug when our visit was over....and I will cherish that in my heart.  If you need anything, please feel free to give me a call at the office. Dear Debbie and Family, you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of loss.  Bob will be missed by so many.  He was the one who made other feel at ease with his gift of storytelling, which always brought laughter.  I can say with confidence that I knew an angel on earth and am truly grateful  for the time I was allowed to know Bob.  May you and your family be  close to God's heart in the coming months and know that the sorrow will lessen, but also know that  our memories of Bob will not.  Love and peace abide with you.

I am deeply saddened by Bob's passing.  I will never forget his friendship, humor and "color" commentary on the golf course.  He was a great guy and will be missed.

Love you dad-you are my best friend, hero and model to follow after. You prepared me well for life and that gift is invaluable and never forgotten.  I continue to be amazed by the people coming forward sharing there unique stories in how you touched their lives - on and off the golf course! I am so proud of you and hope that I and many others can only do some of the same in making this world and USA a better place.

I had the great honor of knowing Bob for the last 25 years---we played a lot of golf together as part of the Randolph AFB "Gaggle" and I cherish the memory of all the times I was lucky enough to play in Bob's foursome. Bob was a Information Technology pioneer---he made countless contributions to Air Force computer programs and projects during his outstanding career. Bob will sorely be missed by all of his friends. Bob was a good friend and will be dearly missed.  Our families had a lot of great times together and he was always there to support anyone, anytime. He was there for me when my father passed away and helped me through the tough times. I know he will be playing all of golf courses in heaven.  Peace and Grace++.

So sorry to learn of the passing of one of our DCHS Class of 1959.  I have many fond memories of time spent with Robert L. including measuring peanuts and soy beans for the SCS way back when.  I tried to get in touch with him when visiting in San Antonio in March but wasn't able to.  Please know that we are keeping you his family in our hearts and prayers.  Robert L. and I shared a first cousin, Patsy Blount Carmack, who passed away a couple of years ago.  I also remember Robert L. and me trying to help Harlan move a long time ago. We were saddened to learn of Bob's sudden passing. While growing up in Decatur County, I have many fond memories of wonderful times at the Blount's home during the 50's and 60's. It was a special time when Bob and I could later reconnect via e-mail after his retirement and share a few memories. Although we have not had a chance to get to know each of you over the years, I pray that God would give you comfort during this time of loss. I trust that we will have the opportunity to visit in the near future and celebrate Bob's life.

I'm so thankful I got to spend some quality time with him last year following my Mom's death, when he so graciously came and stayed with Dad for a week or so.
