Tech. 4th Grade Robert J. Swanson U.S. Army, Veteran passed away on October 23, 2011 at the age of 90. He was born on September 13, 2011 in Erie, Pennsylvania to William and Elizabeth (Woechner) Swanson. Robert served during WWII and received the Bronze Star Medal. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen; brother, William. Robert is survived by his dear friend and caregiver Tina Smith; sister, Gloria Swanson; niece Sandy Giglio; and many other friends. A graveside service and interment with military honors will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
