Rogelio is predeceased by his mother, Maria De Los Angeles, and survived by his father, Jesus C. Meraz, who provided a strong foundation in his life. Rogelio also shared a special bond with his siblings, Rodolfo Meraz, Cristina Sanchez, and Elisa Meraz, treasuring the memories and connections they shared.
In 1988, Rogelio began his honorable service with the United States Army. Throughout his military career, he exhibited unwavering dedication and a strong work ethic. Rogelio served his country with distinction and retired from the Army in 2010, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and sacrifice.
As a father, Rogelio was a pillar of unwavering strength and guidance. His children, Alexander, Joseph, and Mario, were the center of his world. Rogelio's quiet strength and dedication shaped their lives, and his legacy will forever live on through them.

A celebration of life for Rogelio will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A committal service with military honors will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209. A visitation will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148.
