Ron was born to Albert and Margaret Tooker on January 13, 1945 in The Bronx, New York. He was the middle child of eight children. He had six brothers, and one sister. Growing up in the Bronx, Ron loved playing stick ball and eventually fell in love with baseball and became a fan of the New York Yankees.
Ron proudly referred to himself as a Vietnam Veteran and became a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4676 in Universal City. This is where Ron would spend most of his days and where he felt most at home. He loved volunteering at Boysville events, Roadside Clean Up and Poppy Sales just to name a few. You could always find him helping the ladies make coffee during the Auxiliary monthly breakfasts. Ron made a family with his comrades at the VFW.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Margaret Tooker and his brothers John Tooker, Albert Tooker, and Joseph Tooker.
He is survived by his daughters Cheryl McClintock Mosher (Marty) and Joyce Zimdahl (Thomas), sons Richard Tooker and Joseph Tooker, brothers Edward Tooker, Cliff Tooker and William Tooker and his sister Margaret Byrd. Ron was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
