Ruben's battle with his heart condition this year showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. A quote Ruben wanted to stand by read, "I'm not interested in fighting, hating, blaming or being petty with whatever time I have left in my life. I want to be happy. I want to be loved and I wanted to have peace."
Despite the pain, Ruben came out a hero and stayed positive and courageous until the end. Ruben enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboy's, loved spending time with family and was always a for sure "yes" for any family gathering. Ruben also enjoyed meeting new people and of course, making them laugh. However, most of all Ruben enjoyed any and every activity that involved motorcycles as riding his Harley was most definitely Ruben's "happy" place.
As Ruben's heart issues became more serious seven months prior to his passing, Ruben realized what was most important to him. Which was making memories and giving to those he loved. Becoming softer and kinder with each and every day. Ruben made all his family and friends proud with his business "Pro Install SA". Ruben's company revolved mainly around installing and removing home windows. Ruben was overwhelmed with work and was always proud to say how busy he was with his company. Ruben will be remembered and honored for many things, making himself the center of attention with witty jokes, never hesitant to break the ice and start a conversation no matter who was in the room. And of course, random phone calls just to chat and check in with people at all hours of the day, but most importantly being an amazing Grandfather and Father.
