

Aubrey ¨Ruth¨ Hayden entered the pearly gates of heaven on October 29, 2015 at 94 years old. She lived in Universal City, Texas. Ruth was born on May 5, 1921 in Killeen, TX to Aubrey & Martha Broom. She had one younger sibling Kenneth C. Broom.
In 1940, Ruth met Dean E. Hayden who went on to become a Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Air Force. The two were set up on a blind date by a friend and arranged to meet at Randolph Air Force Base for dinner. From the moment Dean saw Ruth he was captivated by her character, beauty and fiery red hair. They made a perfect match right from the start.
The two were married in 1941. Ruth stood proudly by her husband Dean´s side while he served in the United States Air force for 32 years. Together they had 2 children Dean and Sandye who are 18 years apart. Ruth and Dean celebrated 66 amazing years of marriage together before he left to be with the Lord.
Ruth survived by her two children son Dean E. Hayden Jr. wife Sandye from Austin, Texas and daughter Sandye K. Siniff husband Brian from Universal City, Texas. Her three grandchildren Aubrey W. Plumley husband Thomas from Conroe, TX, David Dean Hokett from Carrollton, TX and Mark Daniel Hokett wife Heather from The Woodlands, TX. Her two great grandchildren Tyler P. Plumley and Katelyn W. Plumley from Conroe, TX.
There is no question of Ruth´s new permanent residence. She is with the Lord where she will forever remain and now celebrates a reunion with her family who preceded her in death.

Friends and family please join us on Sunday, November 8th, 2015 from 5pm-8pm and on Monday, November 9th, 2015 at 11am at Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City to celebrate the beautiful life and legacy that Aubrey Ruth Hayden has left behind. Burial will conclude at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1pm following Monday’s service.
