

Shawn "Boo Bear" Brewer, age 46, passed away on May 8, 2025, in Universal City, Texas. Born on March 16, 1979, in San Antonio, Texas, Shawn brought joy and laughter to those around him throughout his life.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, Shawn leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his wife Kathy Brewer; sons Brandon, Tony, and Aiden; grandchildren Bobbie and Timothy; his father Richard Brewer; sisters Samantha and Shannon; and brother Matthew.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Barbara Boyd and Joela Johnson, his grandfather known affectionately as Papa, and his beloved daughter Barbara.
Shawn was a man of deep faith who believed wholeheartedly in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was proud to share his testimony with others and lived as a Christian guided by love and compassion. His spiritual devotion was a cornerstone of his life and a source of strength for those around him.
Known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor, Shawn had the rare ability to make anyone laugh. His intelligence shone through in conversation, but it was his kind heart that left the most lasting impression. A true social butterfly, he made friends wherever he went-his warmth drawing people in with ease.
Shawn had a passion for fishing that brought him peace and joy. Whether casting a line or simply enjoying the water's calm embrace, he found solace in nature. He also loved coloring as a creative outlet and had an enduring obsession with saltwater fish tanks-a hobby that reflected both his curiosity and appreciation for beauty. Music played an important role in his life as well, often serving as the soundtrack to moments shared with loved ones.
Those who knew Shawn will remember him not only for the laughter he inspired but also for the love he gave so freely. His presence lit up every room he entered, leaving behind memories filled with warmth and joy.
