Simon Flores, San Antonio, Texas - Simon Edmundo Flores, 83, died peacefully on May 13, 2021. Simon was born at home by midwife to Simon and Julia Flores on Nov. 16, 1937, in Laredo, Texas. He loved and showed an aptitude for music at a very young age. He taught himself to play piano and guitar. As teenagers he and his sister Olivia competed in local talent shows and were frequent winners. Following his 1955 graduation from Laredo Martin High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his 4 year commitment achieving the rank of E-4. It was during his tour at Keesler AFB that he met and soon married Nancy M. Flores (Dufour).
