Steve Waymond McWhorter of San Antonio, Texas age 54, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 at North East Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. He is preceded in death by his parents Hollis Waymond McWhorter and Bertie Waynnell Allgood and also by his brother Joe Hollis McWhorter. He is survived by his sisters, Carol Lee Coker (husband John) and Holly Gaye Hay (husband Mel), brothers, Jim Bob McWhorter (wife Nancy) and Charles Allen McWhorter (wife Laurie) and numerous nephews and nieces. visitation will be on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning March 2, 2011 from 8:00 am until time of departure for Ft. Sam Houston. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
