Sue lived most of her life in Coleman with her parents. After her father’s death, she moved to Cibolo, Texas near San Antonio in 1988 to be nearer to family. After her mother passed away, she lived with her sister Linda McClure Ling Bates. Though Sue had many physical and mental limitations, she embraced life. She was happy most every day. She smiled at everyone. She played for hours with her nieces and nephews. She loved hamburgers and milkshakes, sweet tea and cokes, old TV shows, patent leather shoes, babies and baby dolls, singing at the top of her lungs, and most of all her family. She was surrounded her entire life by people who loved her.
Sue is survived by her sister Linda McClure Ling Bates and her husband Al; her nieces and nephews Kathy Ling Johnson and husband TJ, Lori Ling Wrenn and husband Derek, and Ward Ling and wife Deb; and her great-nieces and great-nephews Alex, Madison and Karina Johnson, Cassidy Wrenn Elliott and husband Justin, Joshua Wrenn, Andrew Ling and fiancé Holly Torrez, and David and Mark Ling.
