I remember meeting him maybe once or twice. He was my mother Janie Rios biological father. They were all very respectable people. It just was always strange to have family but no nothing of them. As my mother would say he is my biological father and nothing less unfortunately. Oh and how grandma (his mother)always made sure my hair was braided and that always felt so peaceful that I do that to my sons that they are older now. My condolences go to his family and may God bless him on his next eternal journey.

Jose Ortiz is a man of honor and dignity, what a hard worker he was....luckily I had the privilege of growing up with the Ortiz family, I vividly remember them taking us to dairy queen on paydays, every friday ....what a treat that was....they always took me with them on many of camping trips to nearby lakes, rivers and oceans.  I am forever thankful for the love and kindness you showerd me 💓  I will always cherish these memories, thank you for instilling the wonderlust bug inside of me 🙏🏼 My sincere  condolences to all of the family near & far, may we all continue to celebrate his life of love and service. Grandpa, 
You taught me so many wonderful lessons in life. You taught me how to fish with the best  of them but most importantly you  taught me how to slow down and not rush things but instead to enjoy the moment. Dropping a line in the water and sharing a taco with you are some of my fondest memories. Give grandma and Allen a hug and kiss from me.
