Thadeus Siwecki

September 10, 1939 – August 28, 2025

Born to Lillie Bell and Thomas Siwecki on September 10, 1939, in Big Four West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his brother Edmond Siwecki. His surviving brothers are Jimmy Butcher and Thomas Lee Siwecki.

Thad married his loving wife and best friend, Patricia Ann Howse on October 10, 1958, while stationed in Chateauroux, France.

Thad, or Wince as he was known to family, always held his family close.

Although we were his world, he opened his heart and home to many whom he saw in need. His love for family and friends was limitless. He was an Air Force mechanic by trade serving his country in Korea and Viet Nam. A scuba diver by passion he volunteered time for search and rescue/recovery missions at home and overseas. Wince loved motorcycles, target shooting, and music. His faith in Jesus was shared through service as a Baptist Deacon and adult Sunday School teacher. He loved to tinker, fix, and build things.

After retirement from the Air Force, Wince Held jobs with the VA hospital, as an officer for Alamo Heights Police Department, and director of Juvenile Detention. His dedication for helping others led him to a degree in Clinical Psychology, and a career in the mental health field.

His legacy of faith and love will continue through all of those he loved.

Thad leaves behind to cherish his memory, his eight children: Theresa Siwecki (husband Jayce Bergan), Kevin Siwecki (wife Tina), Cindie Walker (husband Steve), Thad Siwecki, Kelley Siwecki (wife Staci), Denise Wheeler (husband Steve), Bobby Siwecki (wife Kelly), and Ariel Siwecki (fiancé Nick Chelf).

Surrounding him with love, Thad is also survived by 34 grandchildren: John Sawyer (wife Nicole), Sarah Sawyer, Stephen Sawyer, Brodick Siwecki, Dani Ramirez (husband Jeff), Devyn Siwecki, Ashley LaCovara (husband Derrick), Christopher Walker (wife Kara), Amanda Frausto (husband Chris), Kallie Siwecki, Emily Sanchez (husband Desdan), Lauren Russo (husband Joe), Jarred Siwecki (wife Sydney), Brennon Siwecki, Tristan Siwecki, Matthew Mills (wife Keri), Caitlin Stephens (husband Colton), Joshua Wheeler, Lucy Wheeler, Markas Wheeler, Alina Siwecki, Anthony Siwecki, Feyre Siwecki, and Judas Chelf.

Lastly, honoring Thad’s legacy are his 26 great-grandchildren: Aiden, Allie, Kennedy, Olivia, Luke, Clare, Emma, Rebecca, John Michael, Haiden, Brooklyn, Cadence, Noah, Justyce, Damien, Barrett, Dawson, Dillon, Jayden, Oakley, Aria, Ensley, Levi, Devin, Sophia, and Robert.
