Theresa Virginia Rigali, 97, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away July 22,2022. She was born in Syracuse, New York on July 19, 1925 to Salvatore and Giacomena Amato. She was married to Ret. Major Joseph L. Rigali, Jr. for 72 years until his death on May 12, 2019. Joseph would say Theresa was the only woman he ever truly loved; that mutual love was steadfast and unbreakable for the entire 72 years. They remained best friends and partners until Joseph’s death.
Theresa had a passion for her family and her many artistic endeavors, including jewelry making and her beloved custom ceramics business, Teramics. Her work is in the homes of many people and businesses across the country. She was a woman who gave her family incredible love, along with the best Italian dinners every night of the week. Theresa was truly a force of nature when it came to her family. There is nothing that could stop her when they needed help. She also loved her incredible rose garden and lilacs, watching baseball and football, reading non-fiction, and the color blue.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Rigali, Jr, her son, Joseph L. Rigali, III, her granddaughter, Tiffany L. Rigali, and by her parents and 10 sisters.
Theresa is survived by her son, Richard Rigali, her daughter, Terre Rigali, her granddaughters, Julie Rigali Davis and Sarah Rigali, grandson Joseph L. Rigali, IV, and Julie’s husband, Brent Davis.
