He graduated from Victoria College in 1956 with an Associate of Science degree. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on August 6, 1956 and retired after 20 years of honorable and faithful service. He was awarded the Joint Services Commendation Medal.
Thomas Peña is preceded in death by his wife, Margarete Maria Peña, who passed away on May 26, 2018.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas Anthony Peña, Steven Joseph Peña, and Andrew Eugene Peña; adopted Granddaughter Kristina Marie Peña; brother, Juan Peña; sisters, Julia Peña and Carmen Nunez; grandchildren, Andre Sanchez, and Brooklynne Marie Common.
Serving as pallbearers are Julian Peña, and Gerald Castañeda.
