

Virginia Lee Clark Hansen was born on August 7, 1925 in Flatrock, Tennessee. She was called home on March 30, 2013. Her loving husband of sixty years, Erik S. Hansen was waiting for her at the gates of heaven.
She is survived by her only son, Thomas R. Hansen of Austin; daughter-in-law, Daniele Hansen; grandson Erik David Hansen, his wife Sarah, and great grandson Zachary. She was awaiting the birth of her great granddaughter Cora Elizabeth. Also survived by Gary Brown and his family; niece Barbara Miller and her husband Connie, great nephew Clark; niece Janet Droke and her husband, Clint. Also, adopted daughter, Diana Brown and her daughter Madison. Dear friends Tess Datu and her family; Kim and Rick Zarder and their family. She also left behind a very large extended family and numerous longtime friends.
Virginia had many passions in her life, one being her faith and her church. She loved gardening and animals. She will be missed greatly by her closest companion, Teka, her 2 ½ lb. Chihuahua.
The family would like to thank the staff at NE Baptist Hospital and Silver Tree Rehab/Nursing home in Schertz, TX. for their amazing loving care.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Colonial Funeral home, 625 Kitty Hawk Rd. UC at 10:00 am to be followed by an interment service at Ft. Sam Houston at 11:15 am. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
