

Bill was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling the world, fishing and playing Mahjong on his computer. Bill joined the Air Force in 1954 serving his country during Vietnam and retiring in 1977. Bill continued working various jobs as an Analyst and later retired from Civil Service in 1995.
Bill is survived by his girlfriend Maritza Palmer, brother Robert (Val) Saffeels, Anne (Rod) Evans, Children Dolores Nichols, Louise Phillips, Bill Saffeels, Teresa Whitworth and Grandchildren Jennifer Nichols, April Brooks, Christine Jones, Rick Nichols, Vanessa (Hector) Ruiz, Kristal (Derrick) Griffen, Bill Saffeels III, Samantha (Jason) Hedges, Sabrina Whitworth and 18 Great-Grand children and 8 Great-Great-Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews around the world.
Bill was Preceded in death by parents Paul Washington and Daisy Belle Saffeels, Sister Althea (Gene) Budney and Brother Joe Saffeels.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held on April 3, 2025 at Colonial Funeral Home 625 Kitty Hawk Rd., Universal City at 11:15 AM then to Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery for interment at 1:15 PM.
