Ruby Nell Dill

Ruby Dill, 78, was born on October 21, 1947, in Lansing, Michigan, to Nell O’Leary Sutherland and Thomas Samuel Brewer, and passed away on December 13, 2025, in Nokomis, Florida, surrounded by love and the legacy she built through a life well lived.

Ruby was known for her quick wit, kind heart, and deeply loving nature. She had a way of making people feel seen and cared for, often through humor, warmth, and a genuine interest in others. She loved fiercely, laughed easily, and left an impression on everyone she met. It is no exaggeration to say that everyone loved Ruby, and those who knew her best will carry her spirit forward in countless small, meaningful ways.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Tommy.

Ruby is survived by her sisters, Brenda, Diane, and Michelle; her children, Freddy and Johnny; and her countless grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy in her life.

A service celebrating Ruby’s life will be held on January 10, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Englewood Methodist Church. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
