With gratitude and love, we remember and celebrate a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend.
Aaron was born and spent his early years in San Diego, California. At age 10, his family moved to Norfolk, Virginia, and he later became a long-time resident of Virginia Beach.
As a young man, he became the happy and proud father of two sons, Aaron and Wesley.
For much of his life, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, whether that meant cruising with close friends or riding solo. An avid surfer, he loved riding waves in the ocean and spending time on the beach with his friends and fellow wave sliders, especially his sons. A life-long lover of music and a musician, he took great pleasure in performing live and rocking out with his many bandmates throughout the decades. Hard-working, he served the community for many years as a business owner and building contractor, providing quality craftsmanship to countless yet valued customers, many who became dear friends.
Of those that knew him during his life, whether for only a brief season or for the passing of many seasons, each and every connection mattered to him and left an imprint in his soul. He knew who cared, and his heart was blessed. He will be missed as he is now resting. May we grow in the goodness and hope that is for now and everlasting!
"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words." -1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2:00 pm at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach.
