Amandus Frederick Poetter, 80, passed away on May 14, 2019. He was born in Chewelah, WA and was a graduate of ECPI. Amandus served his country during Vietnam in the US Navy and retired after 25 years. After retirement, he worked for Ken Reid as a copier technician. Amandus was a quiet, loving, and sweet man.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Alice Marie Poetter; daughter Gaylene Buchanan (David); brother Stuart Duncan, Jr. (Lori); 2 grandchildren, Jessica Buchanan-Cullipher and Katherine Buchanan; 2.5 great grandchildren, David Cullipher, Damian Ortiz, and one on the way; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Amandus Ferdinand Poetter; mother Allie Meadows Duncan; stepfather Stuart Duncan, Sr.; brothers, Robert and Clarence Poetter; 2 sisters, Dorothy Zehm and Betty Beck; and a niece Yolanda Beck and her son Damian.
