Anne D. Isley

Anne Dudley Isley, 88, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on July 2, 2018. Mrs. Isley was born in NC and resided in Norfolk most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernerd Gale Isley. She graduated from North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC as a registered nurse. Survivors include her sister Kathryn Weeks; 4 children Elizabeth Isley, Gary B. Isley and wife Gabbi, Melissa Gale Isley, Missy Isley Viohl and husband Kenny; eight grandchildren Jason Isley, Barney Isley, Benjamin Kaplan, Shayna Kaplan, Katie Isley, Sollie Kaplan, Kevin Isley and Ali Bresenoff; 8 great grandchildren Kayla, Khaliq, Khamann, Kortney, Evan, Olivia, Serena and Maya; and a large extended family. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 5, 10:00 a.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. A reception will follow in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association as a tribute to her husband Bernerd G. Isley or to the Food Bank.
