Anne Marie Johnson passed on August 1, 2026, at the age of 72, having been born on December 25, 1953, in Suffolk, and residing in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas W. and Lota Porter and three brothers.
Anne received her Associates Degree and served as an Engineering Technician and Planner for The Department of Defense and U.S. Navy for 31 years. She was a founding member of Chr1st Fellowship Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, William T. Johnson, Jr., (Bill), a daughter Jennifer Farley (Jackson), a son Jason Seay, 4 grandchildren Gwen, Eli and Ava Farley, Lamaar Seay; 3 brothers Colby, Roger and Paul Porter.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to her caregivers at Nest for their loving care to Anne over the past several years.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2:00 pm at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home by Pastor Chris Amos. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm in the funeral home.
Graveside services will be private at Chapel Hill Cemetery in North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Autism Society in her memory.
