Virginia Beach - Araceli Bautista Vasquez, 87, passed away Feb. 14, 2014. She was born in the Philippines on Sept. 20, 1926 to the late Simeon and Marcela Bautista. She graduated high school in the Philippines. Mrs. Vasquez was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and was a member of the FILAM Senior Citizens of Tidewater.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eulogio Vasquez.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Joselito Vasquez and his wife Jing; daughter, Agnes Banias; five grandchildren, Angela Sadsad, Myra Sisco, Brenner Vasquez, Ivan Vasquez, and Jill Vasquez; and five great-grandchildren, Jenn Sadsad, Mimi Sadsad, Kaitlyn Collison, Mariah Sisco, and Makayla Sisco.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mon. Feb. 17, 2014 and Tues. Feb. 18, 2014 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with a rosary starting at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wed. Feb. 19, 2014 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Joseph Adams. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
